February 24, 2012 - Sad - Tonight we are very sad.  The time has come for us to say goodbye to our sweet Cyrus.  He has been sick for quite some time now and he has finally let us know that he wants to go be with Jesus and Annie.

We had no intentions of getting another cat since we already had Annie, but this cute little guy came into our life one day out of the blue.  We were walking around our old neighborhood that had lots of homes under construction, when out walks this tiny little kitten all covered with saw dust and cement.  He was the cutest little thing and there was no way we could leave him in that home with no food or water. So, we added a new addition to our family. Since we found him in Lake Cyrus, why not call him Cyrus;-)

He was a fiesty little kitten. He terrorized Annie for the first couple of months and got into everything under the sun.  He broke more plates, lamps, picture frames and scratched more furniture than he should.  He ran away from home to many times, only to come home and make us love him more.  He thought that everything was better if he was sitting up high on a table. We still laugh at how he ate all the ham on Christmas morning for the biscuits while we were opening Santa presents.  You couldn't open a door without him under your toes ready to run outside.  He loved earwax, yogurt, deli meat, cheese and ChickFilA icecream.  He loved laying on your feet at the end of the bed.  All in all, he was the sweetest cat for our family.

We love you Cyrus!  We hope you have fun with all your friends in heaven.  We will miss you dearly and will always, always still open the door slowly, just to keep you from running out. ;-)
