April 5, 2012 - Family - When the phone rings, you never expect it to be sad news. However, we received very sad news that David's Dad passed away unexpectantly.  It's news that takes your breath away and makes you hold close the ones around you. It brings memories flooding back into your mind and makes your heart sad for those affected.  At the same time, it brings a since of peace knowing that our life here on this earth is not forever, but life with our precious Jesus is our forever home.  Knowing that Chris accepted Christ into his life only days before his death makes our hearts happy.  We drove to Gulf Shores to celebrate and remember Chris and to be close to Grandma Peggy.  The kids understood that Grandaddy Chris went to live with Jesus and that's why we were visiting, however in their innocent minds it was great to get to spend some quality time with Grandma Peggy.
