February 14, 2010 - Happy Valentine's Day! - This morning, David ran in the Mercedes Half Marathon. He has not run in this event since 2006 and has not even put on his running shoes since then either. His running shoes have been replaced by tennis shoes which is his new favorite sport. He decided at the last minute to run and literally went out and bought a new pair of running shoes yesterday. His old shoes are now his work in the yard shoes. Haden was so excited to go and watch his Daddy cross the finish line. He was getting a little impatient at first. He kept saying, "when is Dad coming and why is it taking him so long. Hurry up Dad!" I explained to him that it takes a long time to run 13.1 miles and that Dad was doing the best he could. David crossed the finish line at about 2hr13min which was fabulous for him not running in 4 years. We are so proud of you!

As soon as Haden saw David's medal, he had to have it. He thought it was the neatest thing and was so proud to wear it around his neck. Hadley loved watching all the people and especially all the spectators with their dogs. She loves dogs!

Thanks to Grammy for the cute heart pillowcase dress for Hadley. Of course she wore it with Hadley style. :-)

Thanks to GiGi for Haden's new Alvin and the Chipmunk tshirt. He loves it! I tried my best to get a cute picture of the kids for Valentine's Day, but no luck. Haden was to busy playing the Wii and this is the only time Hadley has been still today, so this is the best I could do.

Thanks Grammy and Grandaddy for the balloons. The kids love them! I am so thankful for this day of love! I love all my family, my husband and my precious kids with all my heart. You make me so happy each and every day!
