January 8, 2011 - Upward Basketball - This season, Haden is playing basketball. He is playing through a local church and his team is the "Blue Devils." He has been practicing for several weeks and today was their first game. Haden is #4. Before the game started, the teams came running out onto the court in a smoky haze as the announcer called each child's name. It was very exciting!
My camera is terrible at taking action shots, but I wanted to put this picture on here. There is no score keeping at the games, but the parents always know who wins. ;-) We won our first game! At the end of the game, each child receives a star to place on their jersey. Haden got the red star for defensive player of the game! As you can see, he was all about guarding his man. It was so much fun to watch these kids play ball. Haden had the best time!
