October 29, 2009 - The Old Farm - Today, we headed back to Old Baker Farm as chaperones for Haden's field trip. Both David and I voluntered to help out with the kids on the trip. A great time was had by all, and the kids were very good. They got to feed the cows a bottle, pet all kinds of farm animals, take a hayride, pick pumpkins and cotton and have a picnic in the hayloft.

If you have never been to Old Baker Farm, it is very beautiful!

The kids got to experience the farm and the pumpkin patch today. Each kid was able to pick a pumpkin out of the mini pumpkin patch reserved for schools. Instead of getting a big pumpkin, they each got their own little one.

Haden was excited about this pumpkin he picked out because he said it has a tail.

The kids got to have a picnic in the hayloft above the big barn. It was SO funny to see Haden in his element with all his friends. He is quite a character around them. Little did I know that there is lots of trading going on at lunchtime. Haden traded several of his Doritos for some of his friends grapes, while that friend traded the Doritos for some Sun Chips. It was quite a hoot to watch and listen to them trade.

Haden has an Awesome teacher, Mrs. Reach. She is so sweet and very hands on with the kids. She is very good at teaching and discipling as well. We are so thankful and blessed that she is Haden's teacher. Haden loves her as well!

Mrs. Reach's Kindergarten Class 2009-2010. So Cute!
